Picked September 30th, we carefully placed whole clusters in a tank to be sealed off with CO2 for 2 weeks of carbonic maceration. It was then whole cluster pressed and returned to the stainless steel tank for aging for 6 months. Bottled April 13th with total 40ppm SO2 added.

Grapes harvested from Groundstar Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA of Santa Barbara County. Santa Rita Hills is known for it's cooler climate so these vines were trained closer to the ground to absorb any radiant heat to push through those last days to the perfect ripeness.
